Powering Iraq’s Green Economy and Financial Support for Sustainable Development

On June 16, 2025, the University of Sulaimani, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), convened the second joint forum under the theme “Powering Iraq’s Green Economy and Financial Support for Sustainable Development.” The event took place at the University’s Congress Hall and brought together a distinguished audience, including Professor Dr. Kosar Mohammed Ali, President of the University of Sulaimani; Dr. Haval Abubakr, Governor of Sulaymaniyah; representatives from the Iraqi Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government; the Central Bank of Iraq; international and local organizations; and a wide array of academics and faculty members.
We participated as Passive House Iraq, whose business serves the environment. Through our work and business, we will use less energy in construction and reduce harmful gases in the earth's atmosphere.
