Extruded Polystyrene (XPS)
This product is produced from polystyrene, by extrusion. Depending on the indented application and the location of use, it can be produced as a board with a variety of sizes, edge and surface shapes, and compressive strengths. It functions as a thermal insulator. It is made in facilities that have received certification from Bureau Veritas for their OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and ISO 50001 Energy Management System management systems.
General Information
 Its declared thermal conductivity is 0,030 ≤ λ ≤ 0,035 W/mK . (At 10 C).
The temperature of use is between -50/+75 C.½.
It has 100% closed porous cell structure that keeps the water out.
It does not have a capillary absorbency.
It has high compressive strength.
Even though it is resistant to acidic and basic chemicals, it is sensitive to chimney gases, methane group gases and chemicals of gasoline group, Eter, Esther and amine group.
